Under this deal, the company will pay Rs 4.85 crore to BCCI for every match. According to the report, this title sponsorship will be known as ‘Blue Muthoot’.
BCCI gets new title sponsor
Muthoot Fincorp has been chosen as the new title sponsor for the home international matches of the Indian cricket team. According to reports, the company has got the title sponsorship rights of international and domestic matches to be held in India till March 31, 2028. During this period, about 35 domestic international matches will be played which include 10 Test, 12 ODI and 13 T20 International matches. This sponsorship will be known as ‘Blue Muthoot’.
The board will get Rs 4.85 crore
According to the report of Cricbuzz, this deal has been negotiated at the base price of Rs 4.85 crore per match. That means the company will give Rs 4.85 crore to BCCI for every match. This means that more domestic and international matches will be played to win, the total earnings of the board from sponsorship will also increase accordingly. However, the situation regarding the base price will become clear only after the official statement of BCCI.
Changes will be seen in the ODI series against West Indies
Under the title sponsorship, Muthoot Fincorp’s brand will be visible in the promotional and branding rights related to the domestic international matches of the Indian team. In such a situation, the effect of Muthoot’s deal with BCCI will also be seen in the three-match ODI series starting against West Indies. The special thing is that the first match of this series will be played in Thiruvananthapuram where this company is based.
