'Before 2017, the government used to get theft done', CM Yogi made a sharp attack on SP

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath distributed appointment letters to 3,446 technical assistants and 126 market secretaries newly appointed in the agriculture department. The Chief Minister said that before 2017, there was no peace and security situation in the state like today. He said, “Today no one steals a motor vehicle from the field of an Annadata farmer of UP. Thieves know very well that if someone steals, he will definitely become lame the next day.” Taking aim at the Samajwadi Party, CM Yogi said that before 2017, the then government itself used to get motor thefts done. He said that thieves did not come from outside, only the same people used to get this work done.

Making clear his government's intention against crime, CM Yogi said, “We had made it clear on the very first day that our government is working on the policy of zero tolerance towards crime and criminals. Along with breaking the back of the counterfeiting mafia and the mafia occupying various institutions, we will also work to expose their masters to heaven and earth.” He stressed that during the tenure of his government, strict action has been taken against the mafia on a large scale, their properties have been confiscated and losses have also been recovered from them.

Agricultural growth rate increased to 18 percent

Speaking on the condition of sugar mills and sugarcane farmers, CM Yogi said that since 2009, there were outstanding payments of sugarcane farmers to the sugar mills. Between 2007 and 2017, the then Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party governments closed 29 sugar mills and sold 21 sugar mills at throwaway prices. Giving the example of Gorakhpur division, he said that a sugar mill, whose scrap value at that time was Rs 10 crore, was sold for only Rs 3 crore.

CM Yogi further said that while the old governments used to close sugar mills, today his government is successfully running 122 sugar mills. Till now, an amount of more than Rs 3 lakh 25 thousand crore has been sent directly to the bank accounts of sugarcane farmers through DBT. He also said that Uttar Pradesh has achieved unprecedented success in increasing its agricultural growth rate from 8 percent to 18 percent.

UP Board exams completed in 14 days

Referring to the reforms in the education system, the Chief Minister expressed happiness that today the UP Board examinations are being conducted in a record 14 days and the examination results are also being declared within the next 14 days. This means that in less than a month, the youth of the state can get their examination results and apply for further admission in any reputed institute of the country.
