The government has made a significant increase in the dearness allowance of the employees covered under different pay commissions: 7th Pay Commission: The DA of the employees covered under the 7th pay scale has been increased from 58 percent to 60 percent (an increase of 2%). 6th Pay Commission: In this category, DA has been increased from 257 percent to 262 percent, that is, there is a direct increase of 5 percent. 5th Pay Commission: The biggest benefit has been given to the employees in the fifth pay scale. Their allowance has been increased from 474 percent to 483 percent, which is a huge increase of 9 percent.
