Belongings of Haj pilgrims returning from Saudi stolen! Huge ruckus at Lucknow airport

There has been a huge uproar at the Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. The second batch of Hajis from Saudi Arabia reached the airport at around 2 o’clock but at the airport itself, the Hajis started creating ruckus by alleging that the items were missing from the bags. It is being told that more than a dozen employees accused the airlines of negligence towards the employees. During this time there was a huge commotion at the airport.

 

The pilgrims allege that their belongings have been stolen and their luggage is missing. It was also alleged that the locks of some luggage were broken. There was an argument between the pilgrims and the airline employees regarding this. During the uproar, an elderly Haji became dizzy and fell down. A video of this also went viral on social media.

What is the whole matter?

According to reports, the second flight of Haj pilgrims reached Lucknow airport on Tuesday afternoon. The pilgrims collected their luggage after completing the verification process. After this the uproar started. Some pilgrims complained about not getting full luggage. After this he went to the counter and asked for information about his luggage.

During conversation with the airline staff, some pilgrims started creating ruckus and complaining about their luggage being missing. Airlines employees tried to pacify them but dozens of pilgrims started creating ruckus on the airport premises. The employees tried hard to make them understand and in the meantime there was a scuffle. On getting information about the matter, security personnel also reached the spot.

 

When the situation went out of control, the security personnel explained to the Haj pilgrims and sent them out of the airport premises. Haj pilgrims allege that the luggage of the passengers had gone missing in the previous flight also. A Haj pilgrim alleged that one of his bags went missing at Lucknow airport. Even after waiting for 3 hours, no response was received from the airport authority.

One pilgrim even accused him of theft of goods. Haji showed his luggage and said that the lock of his luggage had been broken. There were many items inside it including perfume, namaz mat, hijab. Not a single item was left. Whatever item was a little expensive or necessary has been taken out.

After the matter escalated, security officials had to come. On this matter, ACP Rajneesh Verma of Krishna Canal said that the airlines employees say that some Haj pilgrims have been stopped at the airport due to exceeding the luggage limit. Which will be sent to Lucknow airport by the next plane. Officials say that the luggage of any Haj pilgrim has not gone missing.
