Bengal Election 2026: The election atmosphere in West Bengal has completely heated up. Political rhetoric has intensified everywhere and the round of allegations and counter-allegations is going on. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has raised serious questions regarding the central forces and the election process, due to which politics has become even more heated.

Mamta Banerjee’s big allegations

Mamata Banerjee claimed that many external observers have come to the state and they are working at the behest of Bharatiya Janata Party. He said how is fair voting possible in such an environment? Mamata also alleged that her party’s flags were removed before voting and outsiders were acting arbitrarily in the area.

Polling booth visit and uproar

Early in the morning on the election day, Mamata Banerjee set out to inspect the polling booths. He visited many booths in Bhabanipur and Chetla area. Sitting outside a booth in Chakrabediya, he spoke to the media and alleged irregularities. He says that efforts are being made to influence voting through central forces.

Allegations of arrest of workers

Mamta Banerjee also said that many of her workers are being forcibly picked up and are not being allowed to go out. He told that he and Abhishek Banerjee were keeping an eye on the situation the whole night. After these allegations, tension has increased further in the state, although till now there has been no official response from the Election Commission or central agencies.

Demand for intervention from Election Commission

The Chief Minister has demanded immediate intervention from the Election Commission of India. Whereas BJP rejected these allegations and said that TMC is spreading confusion due to fear of defeat.
