Three others, including personal assistant (PA) of chief ministerial candidate Suvendu Adhikari, Chandranath Rath, were killed in the violence that erupted in West Bengal following the election results. Police have registered nearly 200 cases related to violence, arson, vandalism and assault and arrested 433 people. More than 1,100 people have been taken into preventive custody.
