Bengal’s new CM Suvendu Adhikari and five ministers took oath, Dilip Ghosh and Agnimitra Paul became ministers.
Bengal BJP Government Swearing-in : Suvendu Adhikari has taken oath as the first BJP Chief Minister of West Bengal. He was elected the leader of the BJP legislature party on Saturday. With this, BJP government has been formed for the first time in the state. At the same time, along with the new Chief Minister of the state, five ministers also took oath in a grand ceremony held in Kolkata.

Governor RN Ravi administered the oath of office and secrecy to the new Suvendu Adhikari at a grand ceremony held at the Brigade Parade Ground in Kolkata. The Governor then administered the oath of office to BJP MLAs Dilip Ghosh and Agnimitra Paul as West Bengal cabinet ministers. Governor R.N. Ravi Kshudiram Tudu was administered the oath of office as the Cabinet Minister of West Bengal.
BJP MLAs Ashok Kirtaniya and Nishith Pramanik became cabinet ministers of West Bengal. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union ministers, chief ministers of NDA-ruled states and senior BJP leaders were present at the event. Let us tell you that BJP won 207 seats in the 294-member West Bengal Assembly and ended the 15-year rule of Trinamool Congress in the state.
