Monica Sheoran, daughter of Tehsil Bhadra, District Hanumangarh, has brought glory to the country and the state by winning the bronze medal with her brilliant performance in the Asian Wrestling Championship.
In the Senior Asian Wrestling Championship held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan from 6 to 12 April 2026, in the women’s 65 kg weight category, Monica Sheoran registered a spectacular victory by defeating Hambit Lee of South Korea 9-0 in the bronze medal match.
Monica has also previously won a bronze medal in the Under-23 International Wrestling Competition in the year 2023-2024. There is a wave of happiness in the area due to his achievement and people have congratulated him.
Monica’s performance at the national level has also been excellent. He has won 2 gold, 1 silver and 6 bronze medals in senior national wrestling competitions. He has also won 1 gold and 2 bronze in the Under-23 category and 2 medals in the Junior Cadet competitions.
Presently Monica Sheoran is training under the guidance of Coach Pappu Ji at Urmila Sports Academy, Nangal Badi (District Churu) and is representing the country at the international level.
