‘Bhooth Bangla’ box office: Akshay Kumar film crosses ₹60 crore worldwide in 2 days
The movie Bhooth Bangla starring Akshay Kumar and Wamiqa Gabbi had its theatrical release on Friday May 17 2026.
The movie started with 12.25 crore and achieved more than 55 percent increase on its second day 2 of release. According to trade reports the collection for day 2 reached Rs 20 crore which brought the total Indian gross to more than Rs 40 crore.
The film has generated Rs 60 crore gross revenue worldwide according to Sacnilk. The horror comedy established its presence in the industry while Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2 maintains its run at theaters.
The movie earned Rs 3.50 crore through paid previews which Priyadarshan directed. The first day collection which reached Rs 12.25 crore increased the total to Rs 15.75 crore.

The movie attained Rs 19 crore net revenue on Saturday which brought its domestic total to Rs 35 crore net. The Indian gross collection after two days has reached Rs 42 crore.
Combined with Rs 18.50 crores worldwide, the film’s worldwide gross was Rs 60.50.
The horror comedy which Priyadarshan directed marks the first time Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan work together after 15 years.
The two successful movies which they created together include Hera Pheri, Garam Masala, Bhool Bhulaiyaa and Bhagam Bhag. The two last worked together on the project Khatta Meetha which they finished in 2019.
Bhooth Bangla features Akshay together with an ensemble cast that includes Tabu Paresh Rawal Wamiqa and Rajpal Yadav.
