Emphasizing on environment conservation, Bhumi said that climate change issue needs to be taken seriously for a developed India. According to her, climate change is the biggest challenge facing mankind and India can set an example by showing the world how collective efforts can bring about positive change.

She noted that India still has about 21 years left in its journey to become a developed nation and this goal cannot be achieved without the participation of women. Bhumi argued that unless women have access to better health facilities, their participation in the workforce will not increase. Improved health facilities will lead to economic and social empowerment of women. Also, she highlighted the need to provide quality infrastructure and better facilities to increase the productivity of the youth.
‘Artists should also raise voice on national issues’
Bhumi Pednekar also commented on the social responsibility of artists. She observed that many artists avoid expressing opinions on public issues and prefer to let things go as they are; However, she does not agree with this mentality. “Whatever happens in the country directly affects all of us. So, it is important to voice our opinions on issues related to the society and the nation,” she said.
