Big action by police in Sriganganagar gangrape case, 3 more accused arrested, total 18 arrested

Jaipur: Police have intensified the investigation in the case of gang rape of a 13 year old minor in Sriganganagar, Rajasthan. Taking the biggest action so far in the case, the police have arrested 3 more accused on the basis of CCTV footage and scientific evidence. With this the number of accused arrested in this case has increased to 18.

Forensic investigation revealed

According to police sources, the CCTV footage obtained from the incident site and surrounding areas was carefully scrutinized. On forensic examination of the footage, the suspicious presence of three people and their role became clear, after which after getting evidence, police teams immediately raided and took all three into custody.

It is alleged that these three had committed a crime with the victim girl in a hotel room. The police are now also investigating their old criminal records. Along with this, it is being ascertained what was the role of the hotel staff or management in this entire incident.

Such cases have come to light earlier also

Officials say that this is not the first case that has come to light. Investigation has revealed that an organized gang was active behind this which used to lure minor girls and involve them in crime. Considering the seriousness of the matter, senior officials are continuously monitoring it. The aim of the police is to present the charge sheet with solid evidence in the court so that the culprits can be punished severely.

Administration’s bulldozer action

According to the information, not only police action has been taken on this incident, the district administration has also taken strict action regarding it. Let us tell you that three hotels related to the case were identified and bulldozer action was taken against them. The administration completely demolished the illegal construction and encroachment in these hotels. Administrative officials have clearly stated that any business establishment that harbors criminal activities will not be spared.

At present, all possible help and protection is being given to the victim girl. Police have said that the investigation is still going on and other people associated with the network are also being searched. This matter has shaken the entire district. Both the police and the administration have assured that the strictest action will be taken against the culprits under the law.
