Big action by the government against the fraudsters in the ‘Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojana’: Jalandhar’s Sarvodaya Hospital out of the panel

Punjab government has taken a major decision to ensure transparency and honesty in the health care sector of Jalandhar Sarvodaya Hospital has been expelled from the panel of ‘Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojana’ (MMSY). The action against the hospital comes after complaints of alleged irregularities, illegal recovery and fraud were found to be true. Now this hospital will not be able to provide free and cashless treatment to patients under this scheme.

Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh’s warning statement

State Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh Sharing the details of the action, he said that serious violations of rules were revealed during the investigation conducted on the basis of complaints.

Strong warning: Dr. Balbir Singh made it clear that “No person or private organization involved in fraud and corruption will be spared. The only objective of the government is to ensure that the benefits of the scheme reach the deserving patients with complete transparency.”

14 hospitals heavily fined; Money returned to patients’ families

Under this campaign of the government, crackdown has also been taken against other hospitals that ignore the rules:

• Penalty of ₹78.67 lakh: across the state 14 listed (Empanelled) hospitals Violation of ethics and rules on total change ₹78.67 lakh has been fined.
• Unlawful charge back: During the investigation, it was revealed that some hospitals had illegally collected money from the patients. With police/administrative intervention That amount has been returned to the families of 6 patients।
• Regular Audit and Inspection: The minister said that regular audit and surprise checking of all hospitals under the scheme will continue.
