Vigilant soldiers of the Border Security Force (BSF) deployed on the India-Pakistan International Border have timely foiled another cowardly act of anti-national elements and masters sitting across the border. BSF took precise action and killed two Pakistani infiltrators who were trying to enter the Indian border by taking advantage of dense darkness and geographical conditions. Security agencies suspect that these infiltrators were sent to carry out some major terrorist or smuggling conspiracy with the aim of disturbing peace in the upcoming festive season (Dussehra, Diwali) and border areas. Confirming the incident, senior officials of the Border Security Force said that the sentries on the front line on the border noticed suspicious movement near the International Border (Zero Line). As soon as both the suspects crossed the thorny fence and started moving rapidly towards Indian territory, the soldiers gave them a stern warning to stop immediately and surrender. Ignoring the warning, they started moving towards the soldiers, BSF opened decisive fire. According to the officials, ignoring the repeated verbal warnings given by the BSF, both the infiltrators took an aggressive stance and continued trying to jump the fence. Seeing the increasing threat from the security forces and keeping in mind the sovereignty of the border security, the soldiers started firing in a controlled and measured manner. Killed on the spot: Due to the accurate firing of the soldiers, both the infiltrators were killed on the spot and their advance stopped immediately. Attempt to hide identity: No valid travel documents have been found from both of them, which proves that they had come with a complete plan to infiltrate illegally. Fear of cover fire: Investigative agencies are also investigating whether they were being given proxy support or directions from Pakistani border posts (Pak Rangers Posts). Intensive search operation continues in the area, weapons and objectionable material recovered. High alert was declared in the area immediately after the firing incident. Additional companies from nearby areas were called and all-round cordon and search operation of the entire area was done. As soon as daylight broke, a search operation was launched in the entire area with the help of bomb disposal squad and sniffer dogs: arms, ammunition, mobile phones and some suspicious packets were recovered from the bodies of the killed infiltrators. Forensic investigation is being conducted on the suspicion that these packets contain consignment of drugs like heroin or explosives. The Border Security Force is also investigating whether this infiltration was a plan to supply weapons to any local sleeper cell or smuggling network operating within India. Impenetrable guard on the border in view of the festive season As the festivals approach, efforts for cross-border infiltration, dropping of weapons through drones and drug smuggling intensify. In view of this, BSF has already activated its 'Operation Alert' grid on the International Border. State-of-the-art surveillance technology: Round the clock surveillance is being maintained through thermal imagers, night vision devices and motion sensors. Anti-drone system activated: Special electronic warfare system deployed to shoot down or jam suspicious drones flying in border areas. Additional patrolling: Along with foot patrolling, boat patrolling has also been intensified in rivers, streams and inaccessible Khadar areas. Security agencies across the country on alert. Inputs have been sent to all major internal security centers of the country including Lucknow, Delhi, Jammu and Punjab to remain alert after this infiltration attempt. Intelligence agencies are trying to find out by decoding the data of recovered goods and digital devices, which handlers sitting across the border had instructed these infiltrators to cross the border.
