New Delhi. Bihar government has decided to start a big campaign regarding health system. Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary said that health check-up of about 6 crore people above 30 years of age will be done in the state. After investigation, a digital record of the health condition of each person will be prepared.
Health department teams will reach door to door
Under this campaign, people will be screened and many serious diseases including BP, diabetes, cancer will be identified early. The objective of the government is not limited only to investigation, but also to connect people with timely treatment after getting information about the disease. Emphasis will also be laid on keeping the health related information of all the beneficiaries digitally safe by linking them with Abha ID.
Anemia testing of women and adolescent girls
Special attention has also been given to women and adolescent girls in the health campaign. The government has set a target of screening about 1 crore women and adolescent girls for anemia. Its objective is to identify anemia in time and provide necessary treatment.
Treatment facilities will increase in hospitals
According to the Chief Minister, currently about 36 types of treatments and operations are being conducted in the district and sub-divisional hospitals of Bihar. Work is underway to increase this to provide 45 types of medical facilities. ICU facilities are also being strengthened in district hospitals.
Appointment of more than 7 thousand nurses
Appointment of more than 7 thousand nurses in the health department was also mentioned. The government is further talking about continuing the recruitment of health workers as per the need. Besides, emphasis is also being laid on expansion of nursing colleges and better training. The government's aim is to bring health services closer to people's homes and identify serious diseases at an early stage.
