Big blow to Diljit Dosanjh’s film ‘Satluj’, removed from ZEE5 India till further orders.
A big news is coming regarding Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh’s film ‘Sutlej’ (‘Punjab 95’). Actually, soon after the release of the film, ZEE5 India has removed it till further orders. However, ZEE5 has made it clear that it stands strongly with the makers and creative vision of the film. Not only this, we will adopt legal route to bring back the film.
Let us tell you that Diljit’s movie ‘Sutlej’ was earlier named ‘Punjab 95’, but later it was named Sutlej. This film was streamed on OTT platform Zee5 on July 3. However, now this film has been removed from OTT. Diljit: This film is based on the life of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra. Diljit Dosanjh has played the role of Khalra in this movie.
Zee5 shared information on social media
OTT platform Zee5 has shared a post from its official Instagram account, in which it is written, ‘The film ‘Sutlej’ is getting tremendous love and support since its release. He is really amazing’. Zee5 also said, ‘We are grateful to all the viewers who have subscribed, watched and supported this movie. Your love means a lot to us and to all those who have brought this movie on screen. ZEE5 further said, ‘We always stand with the film ‘Sutlej’ and the creative thinking behind it.

Why Sutlej was not released in theatres?
Diljit Dosanjh’s film ‘Sutlej’ (Punjab 95) could not be released in theatres. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) had ordered more than 120 cuts before releasing the film. After which the film was streamed on OTT platform Zee5.
