The murmur of a big and important change in the organizational structure of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has intensified. According to media reports, the party’s national president Nitin Naveen can announce his new team. There is increased excitement in the political circles regarding this possible reshuffle, because this will be the first time since Nitin Naveen became the youngest BJP president in January this year that the team will be re-formed at the national level. In this major change, women and youth are expected to get special priority under the amendments made in the party’s constitution.
These positions may be appointed in the new team
According to the information coming out, in the new organizational structure of BJP, along with a National Treasurer, several National Vice Presidents, National General Secretaries and National Ministers can be appointed. According to the recent amendments made in the party’s constitution, 33 percent share has been reserved for women in organizational posts, the effect of which can be clearly seen in this new team. Apart from this, in order to maintain social balance, there is also talk of giving representation to at least three officials from Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) category in every category.
Parliamentary Board and National Executive will also be formed
Along with the restructuring of the organization, the party’s biggest decision-making body ‘Parliamentary Board’ and ‘Central Election Committee’ are also to be formed afresh. According to the rules, the Parliamentary Board can have a maximum of 11 or 12 members, including the National President. Along with this, a ‘National Executive’ is also to be formed to consider the strategies and policies of the party, in which it is mandatory to have at least 40 women out of the total 120 members. Political analysts believe that by bringing forward young faces in this time’s team, the party is preparing a new strategy for the upcoming political challenges.
