Big courage of Iran! Missiles fired at UAE, 3 Indians injured in the attack, has a world war broken out?
Abu Dhabi: Clouds of war have once again started looming in West Asia (Middle East). The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has made a shocking claim that Iran has attacked it on a large scale with missiles and drones. After this attack, UAE’s air defense system is on full alert. This is believed to be the first and biggest attack of its kind after the recent ceasefire between Iran and America, which has caused huge tension in the area.
Missiles and drones: chaos in the sky
According to a report by Al Jazeera, the UAE Defense Ministry informed on Monday evening that ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and suicide drones are being intercepted in different parts of the country. Meanwhile, news came that a cargo ship was engulfed in flames in the sea. The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said a major fire broke out in the engine room of a ship about 36 nautical miles north of Dubai. Although investigation into the real cause of the fire is ongoing, it is being linked to the Iranian attack.
3 Indians injured, drone attack on oil facility
The scariest news of the attack came from Fujairah Emirate, where an Iranian drone directly hit an oil facility. As soon as the drone collided, there was a massive explosion and a massive fire. According to Khaleej Times report, 3 Indians working there have been badly injured in this incident. Local civil defense teams have reached the spot and are trying to extinguish the fire. The news of Indians getting injured has also increased the concern of the Indian government.
UAE’s air defense showed its strength
The UAE Defense Ministry, while sharing information on the social media platform ‘X’, said that 4 cruise missiles fired by Iran were detected. Of these, 3 missiles were shot down in the air within the UAE’s maritime limits, while one missile fell in the open sea. The ministry clarified that the sounds of explosions heard in different cities of UAE were actually the destruction of missiles by the air defense system.
UAE on target: Why is Iran angry?
If we look at the statistics, UAE has been the biggest target during the conflict between America, Israel and Iran. It is being told that between February 28 and April 8 this year, Iran had fired more than 2,800 drones and missiles on UAE. There was hope for peace after the ceasefire, but now the international community is shocked by the attacks starting again.
On Monday itself, the UAE had alleged that one of its oil tankers (ADNOC) had been attacked by drones in the Strait of Hormuz. The UAE has strongly condemned this, calling it ‘piracy’. On the other hand, the US Army (CENTCOM) has also indicated that it is intensifying missions to protect merchant ships so that the world’s oil supply chain is not disrupted.
