Lottery of government employees! Big decision of Modi government, new pay commission will be implemented in 45 days, there will be a bumper jump in salary.

On one hand, the discussion about the 8th Pay Commission is in full swing for the central employees, on the other hand, the Modi government has played such a masterstroke which has brought joy to the faces of lakhs of employees. There may still be time for the formation of the Eighth Pay Commission and its recommendations, but good news is coming very soon for the employees of a particular state. The government has announced that the new pay commission will be implemented within just 45 days.

What is the whole matter and who will get the benefit?

Actually, this entire matter is related to West Bengal. During the West Bengal Assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had made a big promise to the employees in its resolution letter. The party had clearly said that the 7th Pay Commission will be implemented as soon as it comes to power. Now that BJP has registered a historic victory in the Bengal election results, the government has started preparing to fulfill its promise. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah had made this a big issue in their election rallies, and now the time has come to turn it into reality.

Years of wait for DA will end

Dearness Allowance i.e. DA has always been a burning issue in West Bengal. The state employees had been fighting for the outstanding DA for a long time, and the matter had even reached the Supreme Court. At present, Bengal government employees are getting salaries based on the 6th Pay Commission, which is much lower than the Center and other states. This decision of the new BJP government will bring a huge increase in the pockets of not only the employees but also the pensioners. This jump in salary and allowances is considered to be the biggest change in the history of the state.

BJP’s historic victory in Bengal and new beginning

Let us tell you that in the West Bengal Assembly elections, BJP has created history by winning 206 seats with more than two-thirds majority. With this victory, the 15-year-old rule of Trinamool Congress has come to an end. After crossing the majority mark in the 294-seat Assembly, now all eyes are on the first cabinet decision of the new government. The BJP had promised that the 7th Pay Commission would be implemented within 45 days of government formation and employees would be given dearness allowance at par with the Centre.

What is the update on 8th Pay Commission?

While the 7th Pay Commission is going to be implemented in Bengal, preparations for the 8th Pay Commission are also going on at the central government level. It was announced in January last year and the committee was formed in November. The committee has to submit its report within 18 months. Although it may take more than a year to be implemented across the country, but for the employees of Bengal, it is like a ‘double bonanza’ as they are going to get the gift of arrears and increased salary very soon.
