Big disclosure of ISI connection! Youth from Punjab arrested from Chhattisgarh, chat and video call records from suspected Pakistan found in mobile
Janjgir Champa. In Janjgir-Champa district of Chhattisgarh, the police have made a big revelation by arresting a youth with alleged links with the Pakistan-backed ISI network. The arrested accused has been identified as 23-year-old Sewak Singh, resident of Tarn Taran district of Punjab. He is accused of sharing sensitive information with foreign contacts.
Superintendent of Police Vijay Kumar Pandey said that the accused was caught during the tenant verification campaign being conducted in Akaltara town. He was living in a rented house near Minimata Chowk. During the investigation, when his activities were found suspicious, the police took him into custody and started interrogating him.
Important clues found in mobile investigation-
According to the police, WhatsApp chats, video call records and other digital materials were recovered from the mobile phone of the accused. “In preliminary investigation, this material points to contacts and communications with suspected persons associated with the Pakistan-backed ISI network.
Accused of sharing sensitive information-
The investigating agencies suspect that the accused has shared information related to some sensitive places, important persons and vehicles with his foreign contacts. At present, the authenticity and scope of this information is being investigated.
Investigation regarding arms supply also-
Police investigation has also revealed indications of discussions related to supply of arms from across the border. However, officials say that verification of these facts is still going on and a clear picture will emerge only after the investigation is completed.
Mobile sent for forensic investigation-
The mobile phone of the accused has been sent for forensic examination. Experts are analyzing digital evidence, call records, chat history and contact networks. The investigating agencies are trying to find out whether the accused was working alone or was part of a bigger network.
Search for allies and networks continues-
Superintendent of Police Vijay Kumar Pandey said that investigation has been intensified to identify the contacts, possible associates and alleged network of Sewak Singh. Many agencies are working in coordination in the case and more important revelations are likely to be made in the future.
At present, a case has been registered against the accused in Akaltara police station and he is being interrogated thoroughly.
