Big gift to farmers of Punjab, historic increase in crop loan limit, sugarcane farmers will get big benefit

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that the loan limit has been increased to financially strengthen the farmers of the state and keeping in mind the cost of farming. This decision is expected to provide great relief especially to wheat and sugarcane producing farmers.

The Chief Minister said that the loan limit for wheat crop has been increased. Earlier, crop loans up to Rs 24,380 per acre were provided to farmers, which has now been increased to Rs 30,000 per acre. Apart from this, a separate provision has also been made to provide additional financial assistance of Rs 2,000 per acre for stubble management.

The government has also made a big announcement for sugarcane farmers. Earlier the loan limit available on sugarcane crop was Rs 44,000 per acre, which has now been increased to Rs 1 lakh per acre. The Chief Minister said that this step has been taken keeping in mind the increasing needs of farmers and agricultural costs.

Chief Minister Mann said that due to lack of adequate credit facilities for many crops for a long time, farmers had to raise money from alternative sources, due to which they had to face financial problems. With the new system, farmers will be able to get timely and adequate financial assistance.

During this, the Chief Minister also gave a strict message to private banks. He said that actions like confiscation of land or property of farmers should be avoided and other options should be considered for recovery of outstanding loans. He also said that it is not appropriate to make the photographs of farmers public in the defaulter list, as it increases mental pressure.

According to the Chief Minister, the government is committed to protecting the honor and interests of farmers. He claimed that due to the farmer-friendly policies of the state government, the cases of farmer suicides have decreased. The government believes that economic assistance and sensitive policies can play an important role in improving the condition of farmers.
