Big gift to the women of Bengal, free travel facility will be available in government buses from June 1.

Kolkata: The West Bengal government has announced two important decisions that will provide great relief to the people of the state. The government has announced that from June 1, women in the state will get the facility of free travel in government buses. Along with this, the Central Government’s ambitious health scheme Ayushman Bharat will also be implemented in the state. Both these decisions are being considered as a big relief for the common people, especially the middle class and poor families.

women will benefit

The government says that the free bus travel scheme for women will directly benefit lakhs of women traveling daily. This includes working women, students and those women who use public transport for daily work. Along with this, this scheme can prove helpful in reducing the financial burden on families amid rising inflation and travel expenses.

Ayushman Bharat Scheme

Apart from free bus travel, Ayushman Bharat scheme will also be implemented in West Bengal from June 1. Under this scheme, eligible families will get health insurance cover, which will provide them financial assistance for treatment in big hospitals. Ayushman Bharat is counted among the biggest health schemes of the Central Government and through it, treatment facilities are being provided to crores of people.

However, the state government has also made it clear that despite the implementation of the Central scheme, West Bengal’s own social welfare schemes will not be stopped. This means that the health and social security schemes already running in the state will continue. The government says that central and state schemes will be run together to provide maximum facilities to the people.

hope of relief

These announcements are also being considered very important from political and social point of view. It is believed that schemes like free travel and health insurance will have a direct impact on the lives of common people. Especially rural and low income group families are expected to get relief from this. After these decisions of the government, now people’s eyes are fixed on June 1, when both the schemes will be formally implemented in the state.
