New Delhi. With the beginning of the month of October, there is going to be a change in the rules related to LPG cylinder. From October 1, consumers will be required to undergo OTP verification at the time of delivery of gas cylinders. That is, to take delivery, you will have to give the code received on the registered mobile number.
After booking the cylinder, an OTP will be sent to the customer's mobile, which is called Delivery Authentication Code (DAC). The customer will have to keep this code safely. This code will have to be told to the employee at the time of delivery, after which he will complete the delivery process by entering it in his app.
There may be problem in delivery without OTP
The new system aims to make cylinder delivery more secure and prevent problems like fake booking or wrong delivery. Therefore, consumers will have to keep their registered mobile phone or OTP available at the time of delivery.
E-KYC is also necessary
There has also been talk of strictness regarding E-KYC of LPG connections from October 1. Subsidy benefits may be affected for consumers who have not completed E-KYC. In such a situation, LPG customers should update their mobile number and KYC related information in time.
