Monthly amount of ₹2,500 and two smart payment options
The biggest feature of Delhi Lakshmi Yojana is that it gives two different options to the beneficiaries to receive the amount as per their financial needs and future savings:
-
First Option (Full Savings Model): The beneficiary woman can deposit her entire monthly amount of ₹2,500 directly into her Fixed Deposit (FD) or Recurring Deposit (RD) account as future savings. This amount will remain locked-in till July 31, 2029, which will enable a large fund to be created in the long run.
-
Second option (Hybrid spending and saving model): Under this option, an amount of ₹1,000 will be sent to the Reserve Bank of India’s Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) digital wallet for everyday household expenses, while the remaining amount of ₹1,500 will be mandatorily kept in the bank’s FD or RD.
The main objective of this arrangement is to ensure that women can not only meet their immediate needs but also create a secure capital for the years to come. detailed description News Report Can be seen in.
