Big plan of Rajasthan government to save petrol and diesel, you can get work from home 2 days a week
Rajasthan: After the appeal of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, governments across the country have started taking policy decisions on issues like fuel saving and protecting the environment. Rajasthan government is also considering implementing ‘work from home’ policy and is going to issue new guidelines soon. There is a possibility that government employees may be given the option to work from home two days a week. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma himself set an example by reducing the number of vehicles in his government convoy. Yesterday on 15th May he reached a meeting in an electric vehicle.
2-day ‘work from home’ rule will be implemented
After the Prime Minister’s appeal, the Rajasthan government is seriously considering measures to reduce government expenditure. Due to this, the number of vehicles in the convoys of ministers and officials has been reduced so that fuel can be saved. Apart from this, guidelines for both ‘Work from Home’ and ‘No-Vehicle Day’ are expected to be issued for more than a dozen government departments from next week. The aim of this initiative is to save a lot of fuel. Besides, the Bhajan Lal government has also appealed to the general public to minimize the use of their vehicles.
CM arrived by electric car
Under the new guidelines, daily meetings, seminars, conferences and workshops held in government departments will gradually be converted into completely virtual i.e. online medium. It is expected that this change will save crores of rupees which are currently being spent on travel and fuel by officers and employees. To attend the ‘Energy Conclave’ organized in Jaipur, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma himself arrived in an electric vehicle and abandoned his traditional convoy of luxury vehicles.
