Ranchi: Amidst the agitation of JPSC and JSSC candidates in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, the government has taken a big decision on many demands of the students. State government minister Deepika Pandey said that after two rounds of talks with the students, consensus has been reached on many issues. Among these, the decision to cancel the 14th JPSC exam is prominent.

Consensus reached on cancellation of 14th JPSC exam

According to Minister Deepika Pandey, keeping in mind the legitimate demands of the candidates, the government has agreed to cancel the 14th JPSC examination. This announcement was made by the government after talks with the students protesting in Ranchi.

This decision is being seen as a big relief for the agitating candidates. Students had been raising their concerns regarding the examination process to the government for a long time.

TDPL and JSSC-CGL will be investigated

The government has also decided to investigate all the examinations conducted by TDPL and the matter related to JSSC-CGL. The minister said that these cases will be investigated by the state's investigating agency CID. He said that if investigation by a central agency becomes necessary in any case, then the state government can also send a letter to the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

Target to complete investigation in 90 days

On the JSSC-CGL issue, the government said that the results of the examination were released following the guidelines of the Supreme Court and appointment letters have also been given to the candidates. Many of these candidates have been working for about a year.

The government said that the CID investigation will be monitored through a judicial committee. A target has been set to complete the investigation within 90 days. After this, it has been said that if necessary, the matter will be taken to the fast track court.

Emphasis on reforms to stop paper leaks

Minister Deepika Pandey said that the need for change in the examination system is not limited to Jharkhand only, but is important for the entire country. He stressed on improving the system to prevent incidents like paper leaks.

He also said that the Jharkhand government had passed a bill in the Assembly in 2023 providing for strict punishment against paper leaks. The government says that it is necessary to strengthen the recruitment and examination system according to the changing circumstances.
