Lucknow. The Uttar Pradesh government has taken an important decision and increased the financial assistance for the employees of the State Road Transport Corporation. According to the latest report, now if an employee dies in any accident while on duty or in a service-related incident, his family will immediately be given Rs 20,000 for the last rites. This step is being considered as a big relief for the employees.
Big change in the amount of help
Earlier, in such a situation, the family members used to get only Rs 5,000 assistance. That amount was also adjusted later. In the new system, it has been increased four times to Rs 20 thousand, which will now be given directly by the corporation, so that the family can get immediate financial support.

In the new system of the Transport Department, it has been made clear that the benefits of the scheme will not be limited to any one category. Be it regular employees, contract workers or personnel deployed under outsourcing, all will come under the purview of this assistance.
