Big relief to these families of Bihar! Government will send Rs 7-7 thousand

Patna. There is news of relief for the families affected by floods in Bihar. The state government has made preparations to provide financial assistance to the flood affected families. Taking stock of the flood affected areas of West Champaran, Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary has instructed the officials to send an assistance amount of Rs 7 thousand each to the bank accounts of the affected families.

Preparation to send through DBT on 9th October

According to the information received, the relief amount is set to be sent to the accounts of the beneficiaries through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) on October 9. That means, before Durga Puja, the affected families are expected to get financial help. Even before this, the state government has already provided assistance worth Rs 579.23 crore to 8,27,472 flood affected families.

CM served food in relief camp

The Chief Minister inspected the relief camp in Bairia block of West Champaran. He talked to the people living there and got information about their problems and himself served food to the people in the community kitchen. After this, relief work was reviewed in a meeting with the officials.

Relief camps and ration arrangements

The government has directed that community kitchens should continue to function in the affected areas until the flood situation becomes completely normal. Instructions have also been given to the officials to provide dry ration and other essential items to the needy people.

Work on permanent solution to floods also

The Chief Minister said that due to the water coming from the Terai of Nepal, flood situation occurs in many areas. Scientific survey of Kosi and Mahananda rivers is being conducted towards a permanent solution. The government says that with the water receding, the situation in many areas is expected to become normal soon.
