After Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Independence Day speech, there has been an earthquake in the country’s politics, where the opposition was continuously raising many questions. Meanwhile, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju has come forward and put a complete end to all the speculations and has completely clarified the situation. Union Minister Kiren Rijiju made it clear on social media platform This official and clear clarification has come from the government after sharp reactions from senior Congress leader P. Chidambaram and other opposition stalwarts, making it clear how far the real roots of this ideological debate extend. On this important issue related to the internal security and ideological unity of the country, the government has bluntly put forward its position before the country, due to which the stir in the corridors of politics has become more intense.
Why did politics heat up after PM Modi’s Independence Day speech?
When the country celebrated its 80th Independence Day with great enthusiasm, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort, mentioned the historic successes in the internal security of the country. During his address, he respectfully remembered the supreme sacrifice of all those brave security personnel who have risked their lives to eradicate extremism and terrorism from the country. The Prime Minister especially congratulated the people of the country on the successful elimination of armed Naxalites and assured that the government is fully committed to the security of the country. However, during the same speech, he had also given a very deep warning to the countrymen that even though the Naxalites who carried guns and spread violence in the forests are now almost extinct, the ideologically active ‘brainy Naxalites’ are still sitting quietly looking for an opportunity. As soon as this statement of the Prime Minister came, a debate broke out in the political circles as to which people are included in this ideological category, after which many opposition leaders started giving their reactions and started targeting the government.
Union Minister Kiren Rijiju cleared the misconceptions, told three major identities of ‘brainy Naxalites’
After continuous attacks and statements from the opposition, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju took charge and explained in detail through social media what was the real meaning of the Prime Minister’s statement. In his post, Rijiju mentioned three clear points which make it clear who the ‘minded Naxalites’ really are. The first category includes those who openly support the dreaded Maoists and completely reject the supreme law of the country i.e. the Indian Constitution. The second category includes those elements who stand shoulder to shoulder with anti-national separatists and still support Article 370 which has been removed from Jammu and Kashmir. Apart from this, the third and most dangerous category includes those people who conspire to permanently separate the strategically sensitive north-eastern part of India from the rest of the country and talk about anti-national things like ‘chicken’s neck’. This frank statement of Kiren Rijiju has made it clear that the government is fully focused on all those ideological and hidden threats that are trying to create a threat to the unity, integrity and sovereignty of the country.
