New Delhi. A very shocking revelation has come to light regarding the sudden fall of 300 feet in the Air India flight (AI2379) coming from Phuket to Delhi and the passengers getting injured. The second and final dope test of the chief pilot (pilot-in-command) of this flight has also been found positive, which has confirmed his consumption of ganja (marijuana).
Cannabis confirmed in both lab reports
According to Air India sources, immediately after the accident, as per the prescribed SOP, mandatory psychoactive substance (dope) test of both the pilots was conducted. The chief pilot's samples were found positive in the initial screening, after which the samples were sent to another lab for complete confirmation. Now the report of that second lab has also confirmed that the pilot was in possession of ganja. It is noteworthy that immediately after the accident, the passengers on board the plane had also expressed suspicion that the pilot was drunk. However, no official statement has yet come from Air India on this entire matter.
Was the chief pilot in the cockpit at the time of the accident?
Another serious question is arising in this whole matter. Investigative agencies and aviation experts are trying to find out whether the chief pilot was present in his seat in the cockpit when the plane suddenly fell 300 feet. According to sources, the investigation team is ascertaining the exact time with the help of the black box's cockpit voice recorder (CVR) and flight data recorder (FDR) to see whether the aircraft was completely under the control of the co-pilot at that time.
DGCA will take strict action
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and security agencies are taking this dope report very seriously, because 13 passengers and 4 crew members were injured in this incident. Now this report has been made a part of the official investigation and the pilot faces the threat of strict disciplinary and legal action. Let us tell you that the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau is investigating this incident that took place on August 4 and in this connection, teams of Airbus and France's BEA are also reaching Delhi.
