Amidst the increasing tension on the international border and the shadow of terrorism, the Pakistan Army has once again launched a major military operation on its western border. Pakistani security forces have completely foiled a major and dangerous infiltration attempt by Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorists along the international border with Afghanistan in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province. According to the information given by the official media wing of the Pakistani Army, during this quick and fierce military action, the security forces have killed a total of 15 dreaded terrorists belonging to the banned organization 'Fitna Al-Khawarij' (which is another name of TTP). The encounter and anti-infiltration operation began after intelligence agencies received concrete information about suspicious activities of heavily armed terrorists in the border areas. These terrorists had hatched a nefarious conspiracy to enter Pakistan's border from the Afghan border located on the opposite side of North Waziristan region. This conflict between the Pakistani Army and the terrorists was not an ordinary skirmish, rather it was a marathon and extremely intense military operation that lasted for about 36 hours, in which the security forces made full use of their tactical advantage and killed all the infiltrators. A large quantity of modern weapons, automatic rifles, ammunition and explosive materials have also been recovered from the slain terrorists. Experts believe that the security situation on the border between the two countries is continuously worsening, because TTP and other insurgent groups are openly using Afghan territory as a safe haven. After this latest encounter, high alert has been declared in the border areas and patrolling of security forces has been increased manifold so that a befitting reply can be given to any such misadventure in future. Big action against militants in Balochistan too, 21 terrorists killed. Just before this big action against TTP on the western border, Pakistan's restive Balochistan province also witnessed massive bloodshed between security forces and local rebels. According to official information provided by the Pakistan Army, at least 21 terrorists were killed in two separate and extremely violent clashes between security forces and armed insurgents in different parts of Balochistan. The incidents mainly occurred on Monday night near Nokcha area of the country's strategically sensitive Chagai district and Ziarat Crossing in Pishin district, where militants tried to target security posts. However, in this intense conflict, while on one hand the security forces succeeded in killing about two dozen militants, on the other hand the country also had to suffer huge human losses. In these fierce face-to-face battles, five Pakistani security personnel and a senior officer of the Customs Department also attained martyrdom. The long-running separatist and insurgent conflict in Balochistan province remains a major headache for the Pakistan government and military, and the recent casualties have exposed the country's internal security situation. On one hand, the threat of TTP is increasing in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while on the other hand, militant attacks are increasing in Balochistan, due to which a war-like situation is being created in the entire region.
