A big and disturbing news is coming for the customers using LPG. Distributors selling LPG cylinders have now announced a major all-out fight regarding their various demands. The main demands of the distributors include immediate increase in cylinder delivery charge by Rs 75 and Rs 236 to be given in lieu of KYC.
Nationwide strike and dharna at Jantar Mantar on 26 October
Regarding all these demands, the gas distributors have warned of going on strike across the country on 26th October. Along with this, he has also officially announced to hold a strong protest at Jantar Mantar in the country's capital Delhi.
In support of these demands, a delegation of distributors reached the District Magistrate's office and submitted a memorandum addressed to the President of the country to ADM Administration Dr. Vaibhav Sharma. He told that they have been agitating in a phased manner since September 1st.
What are the main grievances of the distributors with the oil companies?
The distributors clearly state that the immense pressure allegedly being put on the distributors for selling non-fuel related or ARB products should be ended immediately.
Apart from this, oil companies should not set any sales target on distributors regarding the sale of non-domestic LPG cylinders. Forced changes in the indent process should also be completely banned. The association has also lodged a strong objection to the sale of FTL and demanded that the provision of mandatory use of PNG should also be withdrawn.
District Supply Officer appealed to keep the system smooth
An important meeting was held with District Supply Officer Ajay Pratap Singh on Tuesday regarding all these problems of gas distributors and the crumbling gas distribution system. During this meeting, District Supply Officer Ajay Pratap Singh clearly told the gas distributors to maintain the delivery system of LPG cylinders completely smoothly, so that no common customer has to face any problem for his daily needs.
