Big step by Bihar government, new good news for 3 cities
Patna. An important initiative has started towards strengthening air connectivity in Bihar. The state government has taken important steps to take forward the proposed greenfield airport projects in Rajgir and Rohtas-Kaimur region. The objective of this initiative is to improve connectivity, promote tourism and create new opportunities for economic development in the state.
Greenfield airport projects gain momentum
The preliminary process of both the proposed airport projects has gained momentum after the approval of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the state government and the Airports Authority of India (AAI). Now the first pre-feasibility study will be conducted. During this study, it will be assessed how suitable the proposed location is for the construction of an airport on technical, geographical and operational parameters.
Rajgir will get big benefit from tourism
Rajgir is one of the major tourist and religious destinations of Bihar. Every year a large number of tourists and devotees from India and abroad reach here. If a greenfield airport is developed here, the movement of tourists can become easier. This is also likely to boost hotels, transport, trade and local employment.
Connectivity will increase in Rohtas-Kaimur area
Rohtas and Kaimur regions have been demanding better air connectivity for a long time. The construction of the airport will provide convenience to the people of this area to reach big cities. Besides, industry, trade and investment are also expected to get new momentum. Better connectivity can give new identity to local products and tourist destinations at the national level.
New opportunities for investment and employment will open
The government believes that the new airports will not only facilitate travel, but will also strengthen the regional economy. Direct and indirect employment opportunities will be created during airport construction, while after the commencement of operations, new possibilities can develop in tourism, hotel, transportation and service sectors. Apart from this, the possibility of attracting private investment will also increase with better air connectivity.
