What will be the big change of AI in government services?
Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has introduced a new framework. Under this, 50 percent of government sectors and services will be shifted to Agentic AI in the next two years. This means that now many decisions and tasks will be taken by AI itself, due to which the work of files and transactions will become much faster. For this, the name of Ministerial Development Council has now been changed to Ministerial Council for AI and Development so that all decisions can be taken from one place.
What will be the impact on work permits and jobs?
The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) has launched a new AI and Robotics platform from 1 May 2026. Now AI itself will examine new applications for work permits and take decisions. UAE has become the first country in the world to adopt a fully automatic system for labor market admission. According to a report by Microsoft, the use of AI is highest among people working in UAE, which has reached 70.1 percent.
What is the plan for youth and other departments?
- Shabab AI: Abu Dhabi Youth Council has launched this initiative to teach youth about AI, cyber security and robotics.
- Industrial Content Leaders: MoIAT and Abdulla Al Ghurair Foundation have launched a program to teach youth AI storytelling in the industrial sector.
- Defense: The UAE Ministry of Defense will also use AI to modernize its systems.
