Big theft in Indore Jain temple! Idols and urns missing from Navgraha temple, incident happened at midnight

Indore city was once again shaken by a major incident of theft. What happened late on Sunday night at Navagrah Jinalaya in Aerodrome area surprised every devotee who came to the temple in the morning. When people reached the temple for worship as usual, they were shocked to see the scene there. Where the idols of God were installed, an empty space was visible. Within a few moments this news spread throughout the area and a crowd gathered in the temple premises.

How did the thieves commit the crime?

According to preliminary information, this theft took place between 2 am and 2.30 am. The thieves did not enter the temple through the main gate but through the back door. They broke the gate and made a way to enter inside, which clearly shows that they had come with a complete plan in advance.

It is being told that a total of five people were involved in this theft. Three thieves went inside the temple and the remaining two stood outside and kept watch. Their job was to immediately inform their colleagues inside if they saw anyone coming nearby. The thieves who entered inside stayed in the temple for about half an hour and during this time they committed the theft very neatly.

The thieves took away eight idols of silver and Ashtadhatu, a Kalash, a silver umbrella and two utensils. The way the entire incident was carried out, it is clearly visible that this may not be an ordinary theft, but the work of an organized gang.

The age of the three thieves is said to be between twenty-five and thirty years. It is being speculated from his body language and way of working that he may have been involved in such incidents earlier also.

Police reached the spot and collected necessary evidence. Fingerprints have been taken and cameras of the surrounding area are being examined. Police have also found some important clues, on the basis of which the search for the thieves has been intensified.

Dissatisfaction among devotees, questions raised on security

After this incident, there is huge resentment among the devotees coming to the temple. People say that it is very sad that such an incident happens at a holy place like a temple. Many people also raised the question that when cameras were installed in the temple, then why other security arrangements were not made.

Local people say that if there had been provision of security guards at night, perhaps this incident could have been prevented. This theft has also raised concerns about the security of other religious places in the city.
