Big update from Central Government: Good news regarding LPG gas

New Delhi.The Central Government has given relief to consumers regarding the availability of LPG and natural gas in the country. The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has clarified that the supply of domestic gas across the country remains normal and there is no serious shortage of any kind.

Sujata Sharma, Joint Secretary (Marketing and Oil Refinery) of the Ministry informed that the government is working on maintaining stable gas supply on priority basis, so that the common people do not face any problem.

Domestic LPG supply completely normal

According to the government side, the supply of LPG cylinders is continuing smoothly in the country. The situation of running out of gas has not been confirmed in any area. Officials say that the supply chain is being constantly monitored so that there is no disruption in distribution.

Improvement situation in commercial gas

Some problems had come to light in recent times in the commercial gas supply used in hotels, restaurants and industries. However, according to the government, it has now improved rapidly and the supply has been restored to about 70 percent. Officials have indicated that it will soon be normalized to full capacity.

priority system in natural gas

The government has set priority for natural gas distribution. Under this, domestic consumers and public transport have been kept at the forefront. The objective of this policy is to ensure that the needs of the general public and the transport system are not affected.

Incentive to states on PNG expansion

The government is providing additional assistance to states expanding the Piped Natural Gas (PNG) network. Such states are being given 10% additional commercial LPG allocation. According to the ministry, this facility is currently applicable in 22 states and union territories of the country, where the work of gas network expansion is going on at a fast pace.
