Siwan AK-47 Firing Officer Suspended: The Police Headquarters has taken major action in the matter of uproar in Siwan on July 25 and firing from AK-47 by the police during the Bihar Bandh. The constable who opened fire, Abhishek Patel, has been suspended with immediate effect. After this action, the commotion in the police department has intensified. At the same time, there is also talk of resentment among some policemen regarding this decision.

According to the information, suspension action has been taken against the concerned constable on the instructions of the Police Headquarters. A detailed investigation of the matter will also be conducted and further departmental action will be taken on the basis of the investigation report. After the video of the incident went viral on social media, the matter came into limelight and questions were raised on the police action. On the basis of the facts revealed in the preliminary investigation, the police headquarters took immediate suspension action against the concerned constable. Now a departmental inquiry will be conducted into the entire incident, so that it can be made clear whether the firing was done as per the prescribed standards and circumstances or not.

Stone pelting and violent clashes in Bihar Bandh

It is noteworthy that during the Bihar Bandh, there was a lot of ruckus and stone pelting by some anti-social elements during the demonstration in Siwan city on Saturday. Many policemen were injured in stone pelting by the protesters.

Police said that aerial firing had to be done to control the crowd and bring the situation back to normal. However, the whole matter gained momentum after the video of firing from AK-47 surfaced, after which the concerned constable was suspended.
