Bihar Cabinet Expansion: ‘Samrat Sarkar’ engaged in solving caste equations, know how many ministers belong to which caste?

Tezzbuzz Desk- A major cabinet expansion of the government led by Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary was done in Bihar today. In this expansion, not only political balance was maintained, but special care was also taken of caste equations. A total of 32 ministers took oath, in which an attempt was seen to give representation to every major section.

OBC (Other Backward Classes) have got the highest representation in the new cabinet. A total of 8 ministers including the Chief Minister have been made from the OBC category. This also includes Samrat Chaudhary himself, who comes from the Koeri community. Apart from this, many other OBC leaders have also been given important responsibilities.

9 ministers from upper castes have been given place in the cabinet. It includes leaders of Bhumihar, Brahmin and Rajput communities. At the same time, many faces from the Dalit community have also been included in the cabinet, which clearly shows the effort to maintain social balance. Jama Khan has been made the only minister from the minority community.

In this expansion, many experienced and influential leaders were sworn in as ministers. These include names like Vijay Kumar Sinha, Shravan Kumar, Dilip Kumar Jaiswal, Leshi Singh, Ram Kripal Yadav and Nishant Kumar.

In the cabinet expansion, BJP has got the maximum number of 15 ministerial posts, while 12 JDU leaders have become ministers. Apart from this, 2 ministers from LJP (Ram Vilas), 1 minister from HAM, 1 minister from RLM are included.

The presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh at the swearing-in ceremony made this expansion even more important.

Before the oath taking ceremony, JDU President Nitish Kumar agreed to include his son Nishant Kumar in the government, after which the political stir intensified.

Through the cabinet expansion, the government has clearly indicated that in view of the upcoming political challenges, both social balance and regional representation have been given priority. However, due to the ouster of many old faces, there is a stir within the party as well.

Overall, this cabinet expansion is indicating new equations and strategic balance in the politics of Bihar, the effect of which can be clearly seen in the coming times.
