Bihar government changed its decision: Lalu-Rabri again got Z category security and bulletproof vehicle.
Patna, 3 July. Taking a major decision regarding the security of Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and former Chief Minister Rabri Devi, the Bihar government has reinstated the Z category security of both the leaders. Along with this, the facility of bulletproof vehicle has also been provided to them again.
It is noteworthy that a few days ago the Bihar government had reviewed the security arrangements of Lalu family. After the review, Z+ category security of Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi was removed. Political controversy also started after this decision.
Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi had also returned their remaining government security in protest against the cut in security. There was a lot of discussion in the state politics regarding this step of both the leaders. On this issue, Rashtriya Janata Dal had accused the Bihar government of targeting opposition leaders and said that the reduction in security has been done for political reasons.
Security restored after protests
At the same time, Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav had also returned his government security protesting against the government’s decision. He called it discrimination against the opposition. At present, after the political controversy, the state government has reinstated the security arrangements for both the leaders.
