Bihar government gave orders, 2 big good news for farmers

Patna. There is big news for the farmers of Bihar. The state government has intensified preparations for government procurement of paddy. Paddy procurement will start from November 1 in North Bihar and from November 15 in South Bihar. Cooperative Minister Ram Kripal Yadav has directed officials to maintain transparency in the procurement process and make timely payments to farmers.

How much will be the MSP of paddy?

The government has set the minimum support price (MSP) of common paddy at Rs 2,441 per quintal and the MSP of grade-A paddy at Rs 2,461 per quintal. This will give farmers an opportunity to sell their produce at government procurement centers at fixed prices. The biggest relief is that eligible farmers selling paddy have been instructed to ensure payment within 48 hours.

Farmers will have to register

Agri Stack's data will be used in the government paddy procurement process. Therefore, farmers wishing to sell paddy should get their Agri Stack ID made in time. Farmers can apply for paddy sale through esahkari.bihar.gov.in portal.

Danger of pests on paddy crop also increased

On one hand, preparations are going on for government procurement, while on the other hand, the outbreak of brown honey insect and Chatra disease on paddy crops in many areas is increasing the concern of the farmers. This can affect the growth of plants and there is a danger of reduction in production.

However, the beginning of government paddy procurement and the system of payment within 48 hours is a relief news for the farmers of Bihar. Farmers should register on time and take necessary precautions to protect their crops from pests and diseases.
