Digital Bihar starts, government work will be done with AI; Big agreement in the presence of the Chief Minister
Bihar News: The state government in Bihar has taken a huge step towards making government services faster, transparent and easier for the citizens. Now the work of files in the government offices of Bihar and the process of schemes related to the general public will be conducted through Artificial Intelligence i.e. AI. The state government has signed a big agreement with two major Indian tech companies to promote this modern technology. The main objective of this initiative is to prepare indigenous AI models as per the local needs of Bihar, so that government functioning can be strengthened with the help of technology. Along with this, AI based research, new startups and skill development of youth in the state will also get a new direction.
Big agreement reached in presence of Chief Minister
For this historic beginning, a special program was organized in the ‘Samvad’ room located at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat. An MoU was signed between the Department of Information Technology, Sarvam.AI (Axonwise Pvt. Ltd.) and Bharat GPT (Corover Pvt. Ltd.) in the dignified presence of the Chief Minister. During this program, top officials of the department and both the companies exchanged agreement documents with each other. The government believes that this step will usher in a new era of digital governance in Bihar.
AI facility will reach every citizen and officer
After the implementation of this agreement, access to Artificial Intelligence technology will become very easy for the common citizens and government officials of the state. The government is going to prepare a very strong and modern technical infrastructure for this. Its biggest advantage will be that all the government departments of Bihar will be able to directly benefit from AI models and advanced applications developed in India. With this, the speed of work done in offices will increase manifold and people will not have to wait long for solutions to their problems.
Local languages and research will get a boost
The biggest feature of this new technology will be that it will not be limited to just English or Hindi. Under the agreement, approved researchers of Bihar will be given full facility to conduct AI based research in Indian languages as well as local dialects of Bihar. This means that solutions to the local problems of Bihar will be found in the local languages only. The government plans to develop Bihar as a national model of AI-based good governance, so that a new path can be shown to the entire country.
Special training will be given to government employees
The state government is going to work on a large scale to bring this entire system to the ground. AI training and capacity building programs will be run specifically for government employees, so that they can learn to use this new technology properly. Along with this, a strong partner ecosystem related to AI will be created at the local level, so that this technology continues to develop in the state for a long time. To provide new employment opportunities to the youth of Bihar, AI based startups will also be given full support and guidance from the government.
Milestone towards Digital Bihar
In his address on this occasion, the Chief Minister said that this initiative is a very important step towards taking forward the resolve of Digital Bihar and developed Bihar. He made it clear that indigenous AI models will be prepared keeping in mind the ground needs of Bihar. With the use of these modern technologies, government services can be made more transparent, faster, simpler and public friendly. Along with this, there will be skill development of youth in the state on a large scale, so that they can be prepared according to future needs.
In this special program, State Deputy Chief Minister Vijendra Prasad Yadav, Information Technology Minister Nitish Mishra along with Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary Deepak Kumar and Chief Secretary Pratyaya Amrit were also present. Apart from these, many senior officials of the government and administration including Secretary of Information Technology Department Abhay Kumar Singh, Special Secretary Arvind Kumar Chaudhary, Vice President of Bharat GPT Shashank Shekhar Thakur and Chief Operating Officer of Sarvam.AI Raj Chauhan witnessed this big decision.
