Bihar government’s gift to NEET candidates, travel in government buses will be absolutely free on the day of examination.

Patna, 23 May. Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary has made an important announcement keeping in mind the convenience of lakhs of students appearing in the NEET exam. They have made bus travel free for all NEET candidates in the state. Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary posted on social media platform ‘X’ that travel in all government buses of Bihar will be completely free for the examination.

He wrote, “For the convenience of all the candidates appearing in the NEET exam, travel will be free in all government buses of Bihar state. Apart from this, the district administration, all the monasteries and temples of the state and non-governmental organizations are requested to provide cooperation in arranging drinking water, sattu etc. for the candidates and their parents at bus stands, railway stations and other important places.”

Apart from this, he also extended hearty wishes to all the candidates for the examination. This announcement of CM Samrat Chaudhary has come at a time when preparations for NEET UG exam are in full swing across the country. A large number of students from Bihar participate in this examination. Many students come from remote districts to the examination centers like Patna, Bhagalpur, Muzaffarpur, Gaya. In such a situation, transportation expenses are a major matter of concern for them. This announcement of the Chief Minister is expected to provide great relief to both parents and students.

The Chief Minister did not just limit himself to making the bus travel free but also gave a message to the entire administration to be proactive in ensuring the convenience of the candidates. He has asked the district administration to make arrangements for nutritious beverages like drinking water, sattu, buttermilk at bus stands and railway stations. Besides, an appeal has also been made for cooperation from the famous monasteries, temples and NGOs of the state.

According to government sources, detailed guidelines in this regard have been issued to all the district magistrates. The Transport Department has also instructed all government bus depots to be ready. Additional buses may be run on examination days. Let us tell you that due to paper leak after the examination, NTA had announced the cancellation of this examination amid investigation. After this NTA has released the re-exam date. Now NEET is being conducted again on 21st June.
