The government plans to take the initiative to start mining activities in the state from October 15.
Workshop on auction of mineral blocks in Patna
The Chief Minister inaugurated the auction of important and strategic mineral blocks and a workshop related to NMET organized by the Union Ministry of Coal and Mines at Hotel Maurya, Patna. He said that a study of mineral blocks has been conducted in Bihar. Preservation of the historical and cultural heritage of the state will also be ensured while pursuing mining activities.

Preparation to allot more than 30 blocks by 30th September
According to the Chief Minister, out of 44 mining blocks of the state Survey work has progressed in 28 blocks. Many mineral blocks have been tendered, while the process for the rest is underway. The government aims to allocate more than 30 mining blocks before September 30. After this, initiatives will be taken towards starting mining work in Bihar from October 15.
Mineral resources in many districts including Rohtas, Aurangabad
The Chief Minister said that there is no dearth of resources in Bihar and development can be accelerated by using them properly. He told that Lime Stone in Rohtas and Mineral Belt in Aurangabad There is a huge resource available. Apart from this, there are magnets in Jehanabad and Jamui and mineral resources on a large scale in Gaya, Banka and Bhagalpur. The government will work on better utilization of these resources.
Royalty received from minerals will be spent on development
The Chief Minister clarified that the government will get from minerals. The royalty will be used for the benefit of the people of Bihar and the development of the state. Will be done for. The government is also working towards attracting big investments in the state along with mining.
