BJP announced 11 candidates for Rajya Sabha elections, new and experienced faces got a chance in many states.
New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party has released the list of its candidates for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections. The party has fielded a total of 11 leaders from different states. In this list, along with the leaders playing active role in the organization, some new faces have also been given opportunity. The party has tried to strike a regional and organizational balance in the selection of candidates.
Tarun Chugh becomes candidate from Madhya Pradesh
BJP has made its National General Secretary Tarun Chugh its candidate for Rajya Sabha from Madhya Pradesh. The decision to send Tarun Chugh, who has been playing an active role in the organization for a long time, to the Upper House is considered important from the political point of view. Along with him, the party has also made Rajneesh Aggarwal a candidate. It is believed that both the leaders have received the award for their contribution to the organization.
This time in Rajasthan the party has adopted a different strategy. Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu has not been given the ticket. In their place, Dr. Alka Gurjar and senior leader Dr. Satish Poonia have been made candidates for the Rajya Sabha elections. From Gujarat, the party has expressed confidence in four leaders, which include Rajubhai Shukla, Mukeshbhai Rathwa, Mansingh Parmar and Jitendra Meghjibhai Kanjariya. Whereas A. from Manipur. Political experts believe that BJP’s position is very strong in the states from where these candidates have been fielded.
