Monsoon arrives in Kerala after 9 days of waiting

This year the arrival of monsoon was a little late. Monsoon usually reaches the Kerala coast between 26th May and 1st June. But this year monsoon arrived about 9 days late. According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, monsoon will cover most of the country in the next one and a half months and this is considered a positive thing for the Kharif season. Heavy rains have been predicted in Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka for the next seven days. Rains have already lashed several districts of Kerala and there is a possibility of heavy rains in some areas. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for Alappuzha, Kottayam and Ernakulam districts. These areas can receive 11 to 20 cm of rain.

When will monsoon arrive in Maharashtra?

Monsoon is predicted to enter Maharashtra in the next 2 days. Monsoon will enter Talkonkan on 6th to 7th. After that, rain will start in Mumbai, Konkan, West Maharashtra and other areas. Monsoon 2026

The Meteorological Department has urged the citizens to take necessary precautions during stormy winds, lightning incidents and heavy rains. It has been advised to avoid unnecessary travel, do not stop in open spaces and follow the instructions of local administration.
