Tezzbuzz Desk- Politics has intensified over flydubai flight pilot Captain Smit Machar. BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi, while targeting the top leadership of Congress and the Gandhi family, has asked why no statement came from Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi on the bravery of Captain Smit. He alleged that those who in the past gave their reaction on cases like Burhan Wani, Afzal Guru, Yakub Memon and Batla House encounter are silent in the case of Smit Machar.
Attacking the Congress, Sudhanshu Trivedi said that why those people who call Zakir Naik the messiah of peace, Afzal Guru a victim of circumstances, Burhan Wani a misguided youth and Yakub Memon's hanging as 'judicial murder' are not saying a word on the bravery of Captain Smit Machar. He also mentioned the Batla House encounter and demanded a direct response from the top Congress leadership in this matter.
Trivedi said Captain Smit Machar showed extraordinary courage to save the lives of those on board the aircraft without caring for his own life. He said that despite such bravery, there was no word of praise from the top leadership of the Congress, to which the party should respond.
However, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge had praised the bravery of Captain Smit Machar on October 1. Kharge had said that during the attack on the cockpit, Captain Smit and his crew displayed amazing presence of mind and extraordinary courage. Without caring for his own life, he saved the lives of about 180 passengers present in the plane.
Kharge had also said that Captain Smit, with his bravery, foiled the conspiracy that was being hatched to harm the people on board the plane. He congratulated Captain Smit's parents and entire family and said that the country needs such brave people. He also wished for Smit's complete recovery soon.
Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh also praised the bravery of Captain Smit. He said that Smit Machar's courage, ability to take quick decisions and determination will always remain an inspiration. He said that seeing what the Captain did, the whole country is appreciating his bravery.
