BJP’s fault came to light as soon as it got votes…Akhilesh Yadav’s sharp attack on economy and new restrictions
Shiv Shankar Savita- As soon as the election results and process are over, the politics of the country has once again come to a boil. National President of Samajwadi Party and former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Akhilesh Yadav has launched an all-out attack on the BJP government at the Centre. Sharing a long post on social media platform X, Akhilesh Yadav termed the recent appeals and restrictions issued by the government regarding the economy as ‘admission of failure’. Akhilesh Yadav started his post in a very harsh manner. He wrote that as soon as the elections were over, the government suddenly remembered the ‘crisis’. The SP President said directly, “There is only one crisis for the country and its name is BJP.” Describing the target of a five trillion dollar economy as ‘jumlai’, he raised the question that if so many restrictions have to be imposed, then how will the economy become strong?
Fall of rupee and politics on gold
Expressing concern over the economic condition of the country, Akhilesh said that the dollar is touching the sky and the rupee is going towards hell. Taking a dig at the government’s appeal to the public not to buy gold, he said that anyway the public does not have the capacity to buy even Rs 1.5 lakh tola gold. He alleged that BJP should make this appeal to its corrupt leaders who are converting their black money into gold. He sarcastically said, “If what I say is wrong, then get the investigation done from Lucknow to Gorakhpur and from Ahmedabad to Guwahati.”
Elections vs restrictions: Questions on BJP’s policies
Akhilesh Yadav raised questions on the intentions of the government and asked why all the restrictions were remembered only after the elections? Referring to the election campaign, he asked, “The thousands of charter planes flown by the BJP during the elections, were they running on water? Were the BJP not staying in hotels? Then why was the campaign not conducted through video conferencing?” He alleged that these appeals of the government will create an atmosphere of recession, inflation and panic in the market.
Foreign policy and issue of non-alignment
The SP President held the foreign policy of the BJP government responsible for the current economic plight of the country. He said that India has deviated from its traditional policy of ‘non-alignment’ and is working under the pressure of certain groups. Today, farmers, laborers, youth and housewives of the country are suffering the consequences of this in the form of inflation and unemployment. Akhilesh Yadav sharpened his attack by saying that BJP has polluted not only the economy but also the culture, politics and social harmony of the country. In the end he gave a slogan and said that now there is anger among the public and it cannot be calmed by any ‘election jugaad’. He wrote in clear words “The country says today, we don’t want BJP!”
