Poor action by Australia before the Boxing Day Test! Team India did not get fresh pitch for practice in Melbourne

MCG Pitch Controversy: The fourth Test match of Border Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 between India and Australia (IND vs AUS 4th Test) will be played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground from Thursday, 26 December. Before the start of this match, reports of discrimination against Team India have come to light in Australia. Actually, Team India did not get a fresh pitch for practice on the MCG ground, while on the other hand, Australia is going to get a chance to practice on a completely fresh pitch for the Boxing-Day Test.

Yes, that is what has happened. Before the fourth Test of the ongoing BGT series, Team India took part in two practice sessions at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, but during this the visiting team did not get a chance to practice on a fresh pitch even for a single day. According to reports, the pitch provided to Team India was completely different from the pitches used for the Boxing Day Test and had less bounce and less pace.

According to reports, there was very little grass on these pitches and these pitches were prepared for practice in the Big Bash League. Apart from this, the quality of the bowlers provided for the Indian team's practice at the MCG was also not special due to which the Indian team used them very less. It is noteworthy that due to all these reasons the visiting team is very angry.

Apart from this, now the host team Australia will get a chance to practice on a completely fresh pitch at MCG. This will be the same pitch that is going to be used in the Boxing Day Test. In such a situation, it is clear that Australia has started playing mind games and from the media to the pitch curator there, they are not holding back in harassing Team India.

BGT series stands at 1-1 tie

If we talk about Border Gavaskar Trophy, then in the five-match series, Team India is tied 1-1 after three matches. The Indian team took a 1-0 lead over Australia by winning the Perth Test by 295 runs, but after this the host team made a brilliant comeback in Adelaide and won by 10 wickets to level the series at 1-1. After this, the Gabba Test was disrupted a lot due to rain due to which it ended in a draw.

Now the fourth Test of the series will be played in Melbourne from 26 December and then the fifth Test will be played in Sydney from 3 January. These two matches will decide the result of the series.
