Bloody action of Munir’s army in PoK! Firing on protesters, many people died

Muzaffarabad. The situation remains tense ahead of the assembly elections in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK). Here Munir’s army is wreaking havoc on the protesters. Efforts are being made to suppress the voices of those who oppose. Bullets are being fired on the protesters. So far 8 people are being claimed dead. A big public march is being organized in Muzaffarabad today.

Claim of firing between Rawalkot and Sudhnoti

There is news of firing on protesters between Rawalakot and Sudhanoti amid anti-election agitation in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. According to claims made at the local level, 8 protesters have died in this action while many others have been injured. However, these claims could not be independently verified.




  • Firing to stop Muzaffarabad march

    It is being told that a large number of protesters had gathered for the march to Muzaffarabad. Meanwhile, security forces tried to stop the protesters around Rawalkot bus stand. Tear gas shells were fired at the protesters by the security forces and firing was also done. A large number of women are also said to be participating in this protest against the government.

    Why the agitation regarding 12 reserved seats?

    In fact, agitation against the electoral system has been going on in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) for the last several weeks. There are a total of 53 assembly seats in PoK in which 12 seats are reserved for Kashmiri refugees who do not live in PoK but in other cities of Pakistan like Lahore, Karachi, Rawalpindi. The protesters say that on the strength of these people, the Islamabad government imposes a puppet government in PoK, which is not acceptable to them. The agitators are demanding change in this system.

    Movement continues for 36 days, claims of more than 80 deaths

    Anger among the people against the government of Pakistan has increased significantly in PoK. People have been on the streets for the last 36 days and are openly challenging Shahbaz-Munir. The organizations leading the movement claim that more than 80 protesters have died in the last 36 days and hundreds of leaders and activists have been arrested. Allegations have also been made that internet and mobile services were disrupted. These claims also could not be independently verified. Elections are to be held in Pakistan occupied Kashmir on 27th July.

    Hundreds of leaders and workers arrested

    Hundreds of leaders and workers agitating in PoK have been arrested. Internet service is completely halted here. The mobile network has been shut down. Munir is being shot from the front while asking for electricity and flour. India has also protested against Munir’s brutality in PoK. India has appealed to stop the atrocities on the people of PoK.
