New Delhi, 02 July 2026: Shah Rukh Khan built his own cricket stadium abroad Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan announced an important milestone for his IPL franchise, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). KKR has become the first global brand to build an international cricket stadium as the Knight Riders Cricket Ground in Los Angeles officially hosted its first Major League match.

On this occasion, Shahrukh talked about his dream coming true and expressed special thanks to ICC Chairman Jai Shah and ICC Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Sanjog Gupta. It is noteworthy that this stadium located at Fairplex in Pomona will host Major League Cricket matches before the 2028 Olympics.

In fact, Shahrukh thanked Jai Shah, ICC and Sanjog ji for their support through a social media post. He also sent a special message to Los Angeles and the team involved in this effort.

He said that the ground is not just a sporting facility, but also a place for recreation, family gatherings and creating memorable moments, which reflects the intention to develop it as a center of culture and community along with its role as a cricket stadium.

Shahrukh Khan had described this achievement as “a collective effort rather than a solo victory”. In this post, special thanks were also given to Jai Bhai, who has played an important role in this journey. He also thanked ICC and its CEO Sanjog Gupta for fully supporting this initiative.

Shahrukh Khan wrote on social media, “It started as a dream, and today it has become a reality. Welcome to the Los Angeles Knight Riders Cricket Ground.”

He further said that this stadium is not only for Los Angeles, but for cricket fans around the world and the entire Knight Riders family. He welcomed fans with his famous message, “Believe in the Purple and Gold,” and invited them to be a part of the new home of the Los Angeles Knight Riders.
