Bollywood Celebrity Security: As shiny as the world of Bollywood appears from outside, there are as many ups and downs in the lives of celebs. Artists shooting films, attending big events and living among fans sometimes have to face serious security problems. Sometimes an actor receives threats, and sometimes there is an incident of firing outside his house. Now the recent firing on Tiger Shroff's car has once again raised questions about the security of the film industry. Earlier, firing had also taken place outside the house of Salman Khan and filmmaker Rohit Shetty. In such a situation, the question is where is the security of Bollywood stars lacking and what is being done to keep them safe?
attack on tiger shroff
Actually, on October 18, 2026, an incident of firing on Tiger Shroff's car came to light in Juhu area of Mumbai. According to reports, Tiger was going back home after playing football. Meanwhile, the attackers who came on bike targeted his car and fired 7 rounds of bullets. Although Tiger did not suffer any serious injuries, his driver and another person present nearby were taken to the hospital. After the incident, Mumbai Police registered a case against unknown attackers. At the same time, all three accused were arrested from Kota and currently the Mumbai Crime Branch is investigating the case.
At the same time, in this whole matter, a claim of being associated with Lawrence Bishnoi gang has also surfaced on social media. Earlier, the same gang had opened fire outside the houses of artists like Salman Khan and Rohit Shetty. In such a situation, many questions are being raised regarding the security of the film industry.

Why are celebrities being targeted?
There can be many reasons behind targeting celebrities. In some cases, there is an attempt to extort money, while in others, the motive could be old enmity, creating pressure through threats or spreading the name of a gang. Many times, responsibility for an attack is also claimed on social media, so that fear can be created among the people. At the same time, celebs are popular and information related to their house, shooting location, programs and travel time is often available on social media. However, it is not necessary that any gang is behind every threat.
Need for VVIP level security
Till a few years ago, for Bollywood stars, bodyguard meant only protection from fans. Bodyguards or private security agencies used to be there only to handle the scuffles and people asking for autographs, but in today's time the danger is not just from the madness of the fans but from syndicates, gangsters and planned attacks. Bodyguards or private security guards can blend in with the crowd, but celebrities need VVIP level security to deal with threats of weapons or gang warfare.
Law and order and state responsibility
When such incidents happen in a city like Mumbai, which is counted among the safest metros in the country, it directly raises questions on law and order. After such incidents one after the other, the Maharashtra government should find a solution as soon as possible. For some time now, the continuous threats and attacks being received by Bollywood actors and their close relatives indicate that this crime network is no longer limited to mere extortion, but is trying to break the psychological fabric of the film industry.

Where does the challenge come in the security of celebrities?
The security of big stars is not limited to just deploying policemen outside their houses. For their safety, work has to be done at many levels. This requires coordination between personal security guards, local police, event organizers and, if needed, special security teams. Celebs often go to shoots, events, hotels, gyms and personal parties and it is not easy to maintain the same security arrangements everywhere. If the information about any program becomes public in advance or if a large crowd gathers there, then it becomes more difficult to handle security. In such a situation, it is also important to maintain crowd management.
Are Bollywood stars completely safe?
Let us tell you, many big stars have personal security teams and in case of danger, they are also provided security by the police. But no security system guarantees complete elimination of every threat. In the cases related to Tiger Shroff, Salman Khan and Rohit Shetty, the security system needs to be continuously strengthened and updated. If a star receives a threat, it is important to assess its seriousness, keep an eye on suspicious activities, check the security of the house and events and maintain contact with the police.
These stars were also attacked
Earlier, on April 14, 2024, two people on a bike had opened fire outside Salman Khan's Galaxy Apartment in Bandra. Salman Khan and his family members were present at home at that time, but no one got hurt in this incident. It was revealed that this case was linked to Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Let us tell you, Salman Khan had received threats earlier also. After this, on the night of 1 February 2026, an incident of firing was also reported outside the house of filmmaker Rohit Shetty. In this case too, an account linked to Lawrence Bishnoi gang had claimed responsibility on social media. There was talk of staying away from Salman Khan in all the attacks.
